About
Hello! My name is Josh Ervin.
I currently work as a flight software engineer on the Terran R rocket at Relativity Space. Previously, I worked as a flight software engineer on guidance, navigation, and control systems at Umbra Space, a senior software engineer at Front, and a lecturer of computer science at the University of Washington. I graduated from UW in 2020 with a degree in counting.
Part of this site is for me to write about various technical topics. I enjoy the exercise of explaining concepts to other folks - I think it’s the best way to learn about them yourself. I also highlight some of my photography on here. I mainly shoot analog and develop, scan, and print my work myself. My main cameras are a Pentax 67 II, a Mamiya 6, a Nikon F3, and the Olympus XA.
If there’s one thing you should know about me it’s that I absolutely love broccoli. Brocolli is by far my favorite food.
